Also known as Green Grams, Choliya are natively cultivate in Middle East and India. They are similar to green peas but has a darker texture and more crispiness in taste when cooked.
Compared to other beans Chickpeas have less protein offering only about 17 percent protein, and also have a slightly higher fat content. Additionally, it contains folate, magnesium, and insoluble fiber. The fiber content of chickpeas has been shown to help support healthy digestion. Green choliya are a very rich source of proteins & is widely consumed in salads, stews & curried vegetables.
